Predicting 10 Biggest Box Office Movie Bombs Of 2016

9. Ratchet & Clank

Admit it; how many of you even knew this was even a thing? Its been well-documented over the years that video game movies are far from a sure thing in Hollywood, with the highest-grossing entry in the genre's history not even regarded as a hit (that would be Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which earned $336.4m worldwide on a budget of $200m). Undeterred, this year sees Ratchet & Clank make their big-screen debut in this computer-animated 3D feature. Historically, outside of Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, Blue Sky Studios and anything that features Minions, animated movies have often struggled to find a foothold at the box office and despite the popularity of the title characters that have appeared in no less than fourteen video games since 2002, its hard to see Ratchet & Clank breaking out of the pack. Factor in an April 29 release date that comes two weeks after The Jungle Book and a week before Captain America: Civil War, and Ratchet & Clank could very well find itself lost in the shuffle despite the relative lack of competition in the all-important family market.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
