Predicting 15 Comic Book Movies Announced In 2018

11. The Lego Batman Movie 2

Last year's The Lego Batman Movie earned strong reviews and turned in a solid $312 million profit against a mere $80 million budget, which while not as successful as 2014's The Lego Movie ($470 million), was nevertheless enough business to make a sequel more-than worthwhile.

While The Lego Batman Movie 2 is probably a few years off, what with The Lego Movie Sequel and The Billion Brick Race due for release next year, there's no harm at all in announcing it this year for a 2020 release. After all, The Lego Batman Movie was announced over two years before it hit cinemas, so there's a precedent there.

Given the possibility that the movie releases before we see anymore live-action Batman, there's a ton of potential for it to fill the void that the DCEU is seemingly struggling to (and if the movie cracks jokes about it, all the better). They should strike while the iron's hot with this one.
