Predicting 20 Highest Grossing Movies Of 2018

12. Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 ($650 Million)

Wreck It Ralph 2
Disney

Release Date: November 21

With the Disney sequel's focus on general Internet culture rather than gaming (which always places a ceiling on your potential audience), Wreck-it-Ralph 2 shouldn't have any trouble blowing past the original's $471.2 million final total.

It's got hefty competition to fend off with The Grinch and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald both releasing shortly ahead of it, but there's virtually no chance it grosses less than the original and avoids making the top 20 entirely.

While the original movie targeted gamers specifically, this one should appeal more broadly to meme-obsessed millennials: a smart commercial move if not necessarily an artistic one.
