After Deadpool made an insane $783.1 million back in 2016, many will surely be expecting it to surge past the $800 million mark and turn in a solid improvement on its predecessor, but that's probably not going to happen for several reasons.

First and foremost, the film's releasing a week before Solo: A Star Wars Story, which may take a decent bite out of its profits, and despite releasing three weeks prior, Infinity War's inevitably long legs could also do some damage.

Secondly, Deadpool's freshness simply may not have quite the same impact the second time around, resulting in the film under-performing a little, but still delivering tremendous profits for Fox.
