Predicted Release Date: 6th November, 2020 Once Captain Marvel hits, hopefully Hollywood's prudishness about female superheroes dissipates, with Phase 4 no doubt seeing another make their debut. There's of course a chance the next Marvel female movie could be a sequel for Carol Danvers, but it'd make more sense to expand the roster of female heroes with a new addition. The best characters would be either She-Hulk or the female Thor, new to the comics. They have strong links to an existing character in the MCU, but bring a whole new angle that the series (at this point on its twenty-fifth film) would no doubt need. She-Hulk has overcome her rather derivative origins to become an important player in the Marvel Universe, with the increased control of her green self meaning she doesn't just repeat the emotional trauma of cousin Bruce Banner. Thor, however, seems the most likely - Marvel have made a habit of setting up cinematic events in the comics ahead of time - and would allow an essential Avenger to be recast in an interesting and unobtrusive way; another muscly blonde hunk would merely prompt Chris Hemsworth comparisons.
