Predicted Release Date: 7th May, 2021 Now Marvel's taken the plunge and split Avengers 3 into two movies we really can't see them backtracking for the fourth team-up story. This film would come only two years after the final Avengers, but in the amped up Marvel structure that's not too alarming. Who would make up the titular team this time isn't as problematic a question as it first seems, with the real issue being how to balance all the faces. Robert Downey Jr. has no obligation to return, meaning Tony Stark is rather unlikely to star, but other heroes are all likely to; buddy Bruce Banner will probably appear (more on that in a bit), while Captain America and Thor can appear in their Bucky and female forms respectively, meaning there's some semblance of the team's original set-up. And, barring a shocking death in Infinity War, all the previously built up heroes have the potential to star. What the story could be is the other big question, with something required to, at the very least, match Infinity War. We think we have a way for it to work that reaches back through the earlier Phase 4 movies, creating some form of cohesive narrative for the films, as well as bringing multiple beloved stories to light. Said story is The Kree-Skrull War, the logistics of which will be discussed when we get to Part 2.
