Predicted Release Date: 5th November, 2021 The final MCU movie of 2021 will be a rather more down-to-earth affair that brings a refreshing change of pace to events. After jumping around from various studios, leading to a run of unanimously bad films, the rights to Punisher have reverted to Marvel. And, as an important character in the comic house's history it was only inevitable they would do something with him at some point. Now, obviously the fact that he's incoming to the MNU (Marvel Netflix Universe), that might seem to be the end of his possible film career, but there's no reason that that iteration of the character can't grow wings and make the leap into the MCU - particularly if the risky R-rated Deadpool gamble pays off. A proper, bad-ass anti-hero, there's no-one quite like The Punisher yet in the MCU, which makes him the perfect choice to even further expand the series scope. And if Marvel do indeed have the rights to play with Spider-Man in multiple films, having him play "the villain" to The Punisher's vigiltante agenda would be a beautiful fit.
