12. Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 (2023)

With Earth's superhero defences in disarray, Star-Lord learns of a growing foe, the Phalanx, a hive-minded cybernetic species (basically the comic book version of the Borg) and their plan to attack Earth in order to assimilate them into their species. He travels across the galaxy to reunite the original Guardians Of The Galaxy team to take out the Phalanx threat, meeting with resistance and adding new members like Jack Flagg and Moondragon, and a new base at Knowhere, the space station run by a telepathic dog called Cosmos. Ultimately, the team are victorious, but at heavy cost, as Peter Quill is either killed or banished to the Negative Zone. The Cameo: Sentry, who is revealed as Earth's secret watchman, who oversees the Guardians' defeat of the Phalanx from a distance.
