Predicting The Next 28 Movies Marvel Will Make Up To 2028

28. Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

The first film on the slate is the simplest to pick out, given that it will land in cinemas in August, following Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the second of this year's Marvel tent-poles. Focusing on a new team, and an off-world (mostly) space-caper, we can probably expect the motley crew of outcasts and misfits to be on the run from Lee Pace's Ronan after Peter Quill steals one of the Infinity Gems (most likely the Reality Gem), and thus setting up the tie-in to the main Avengers universe. It looks like a departure from what we've seen so far, with more humour, and an engaging lead in the shape of Chris Pratt, even if Bautista isn't exactly known for his acting. And of course, it gives fans the opportunity to see Rocket Raccoon on screen for the first time (with as many fingers crossed as possible that we aren't going to see the Scrappy Doo Effect in full flow). The Cameo: Someone From SHIELD probably - explaining what Peter Quill has stolen, and why it's important it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
