Predicting The Next 28 Movies Marvel Will Make Up To 2028

27. Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

Next year sees the return of the superteam with the mostest, with a new villain - Ultron, the AI with a god complex, a hatred for his creators (like Frankenstein's monster loaded with self-importance,) and a sidekick, in the shape of The Vision (complete with Paul Bettany's voice) who is likely to flip sides and join up with the Avengers as he does in the comics. The Ultron storyline promises something different to the Loki-centric plot of the first movie, and we can expect it to be bigger, bolder and more entertaining, and hopefully the third act will be more intelligently executed than simply launching a grand-scale alien invasion with very little precedence. But is there too much going on? As well as the Ultron storyline, we have appearances for The Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, the exploration of Black Widow's secret past, and the need to balance all of the team. And of course we know that Loki is still hanging around... The Cameo: Nick Fury - he's underground, and Jackson has already announced that his only appearance in the film will be a cameo, coming full circle on all of the pre-Avengers post-credit cameos, and possibly hinting at the re-emerging threat of Thanos. And Ant-Man maybe?
