3. Transformers: The Last Knight ($1.1 Billion)

Why It'll Happen: Transformers is another critic-proof franchise that's seemingly unstoppable at the box office, with the last two movies in the series pulling in an insane $1.1 billion each.

Honestly, with only animated movies Cars 3 and Despicable Me 3 releasing either side of it, there's not any direct competition aiming for the same teen market, and with the addition of a young female protagonist, it's entirely possible Transformers opens itself up to a larger female teen market and even over-performs here.

Why It Might Not: Perhaps there's more cross-over here with Despicable Me 3 than expected, or the release of Spider-Man and Apes in the coming weeks is simply too much for it to withstand. If it makes less than $900 million worldwide, something's gone very, very wrong.
