Predicting The 10 Highest Box Office Of 2015's Remaining Movies
6. The Good Dinosaur - $600m
For the first time ever, audiences are getting two Pixar movies in the same year and with Inside Out receiving almost universal critical acclaim, The Good Dinosaur will come burdened with very high expectations. The animation studio boasts one of the best commercial track records in history, and with the movie virtually guaranteed to be a box office success the only question is how much it stands to make by the end of its run.
The Good Dinosaur has seen wholesale changes made to both the story and voice cast during production, but many of Pixar's previous features suffered similar problems and turned out great. Also, no Pixar movie has earned less than $460m at the box office since 1999, and it seems unlikely that The Good Dinosaur will bring that run to an end.
The only question mark surrounding the movie's chances of commercial success is the sheer amount of competition that it goes up against; the November 25 release date puts it right after Spectre and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and just weeks before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, three movies that will eat up a lot of both screens and box office dollars. Still, look for Pixar's winning streak to continue with The Good Dinosaur, which won't end up far off the studio's average worldwide gross of $616.6m.
