Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For Every Upcoming DC Movie

Can DC be saved?

Batman Rotten Tomatoes

It's fair to say that Warner Bros' DC Extended Universe has gotten off to a shaky start to say the least. After Man Of Steel opened to a decent-if-unremarkable 55% critical approval rating, many hoped this summer's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad would mark a major turning point for the franchise. Sadly not.

Instead, Dawn of Justice couldn't even scrape half of MoS' score, and to rub salt in the wound further, Suicide Squad arrived on a tidal wave of hype and landed with 1% less than Batman v Superman, sitting at around 26%.

It's clear that Warner Bros. have a major creative problem that's almost certainly at an executive level, meddling with filmmakers rather than letting them merely release their vision to the world.

Though some post-BvS shakings-up do suggest that the best of the DCEU may be yet to come, it's always possible that the lucrative box office of BvS and Suicide Squad will ultimately send the wrong message to the big-wigs. As ever, time will tell.

Here are our critical predictions for every upcoming DC Extended Universe movie...

9. Wonder Woman (68%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Gal Gadot ably leads a potent period superhero adventure, driven by sharp visuals, solid performances and intense action sequences."

The fourth entry into the DCEU is the one that will finally crack a fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's apt given how much is riding on this movie in particular.

Though it won't exactly turn the tide for Warner Bros., DC beating Marvel to the punch when it comes to a solo female superhero movie will be a major feather in their cap.

Wonder Woman was one of the most-acclaimed aspects of Batman V Superman, and expect this praise to carry through to her standalone outing, regardless of how well the plot comes together. The cast and evidently strong aesthetic (namely some BvS-inspired fight sequences) should push this one over the top.
