Ranking All The Jokers: From Worst To Best
10. Cesar Romero - Batman: The TV Series (1966-1968)
To older mainstream audiences, Cesar Romero's legendary turn as The Joker will be their first introduction to the character.
Romero was almost 60 years old before he took on the role, which sounds peculiar in retrospect, but you wouldn't know it from the vivacity and energy he brought to the performance.
His high-pitched voice manages to avoid being especially annoying, while his cackle is unforgettable, and the look of the character just so perfectly fits within the 60s kitsch tone the show was shooting for.
Younger audiences may not be able to reconcile the silliness, but if you grew up with Romero, he remains a classic Joker.
