Ranking April 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

11. Monsters: Dark Continent

RottenTomatoes Score: 19% (3.9/10) Box Office: Neither budgetary nor box office information is available, though with an extremely limited release confined largely to VOD, there's no chance this one made much bank. The Verdict: Nobody really wanted a sequel to Gareth Edwards' 2010 indie hit Monsters, at least unless Edwards was going to write and direct it himself. Though director Tom Green (no, not that Tom Green) does a fine job with the visuals of this sci-fi war film, the alien creatures from the original barely figure into the plot at all, and an ambitious concept has clearly been hamstrung by the constraints of a small budget. There's decent acting and direction, but ultimately it's not a patch on the imagination and soul of the original. Don't bother.
