Ranking April 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

7. True Story

RottenTomatoes Score: 47% (5.7/10) Box Office: Produced on an evidently low budget, True Story has grossed an impressive $2.5 million so far at the specialty box office, which combined with future home video sales will likely ensure its financial success in the long run. The Verdict: It's got a weird enough premise and boasts two comic actors putting their serious faces on in James Franco and Jonah Hill, but what holds True Story back from being actually great is the disappointingly down-the-line script. There was a stellar movie ready to be made here about a truly disturbing individual, but instead it renders a bizarre story too ordinary, and in doing so doesn't give either lead actor nearly enough to do.
