Ranking April 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
3. Green Room
RottenTomatoes Score: 88% (7.8/10)
Box Office: Made for just $5 million, the film has made $1.4 million on limited release so far, though considering the lack of availability to many audiences and highly positive reviews, this one should do fine once it's out on home video.
Verdict: Jeremy Saulnier's (Blue Ruin) latest is another savage, white-knuckle thriller boosted by terrific visuals and excellent performances.
Though certainly not for the faint of heart or stomach, Green Room presents Patrick Stewart like you've never seen him before, as a neo-Nazi nightclub owner intent on eliminating a touring band who witness a murder in the club.
Anton Yelchin leads the troubled band with a riveting, gutsy turn, while Saulnier makes the most of his minimalist location work with a constant feeling of claustrophobia and dread. It's gory, smart and almost unbearably tense: a classic thriller for sure.
