Box Office: Another low-budget religious drama that can't help but succeed, the $5 million sequel opened slightly lower than the original movie, but has already pulled in over $20 million to date. It won't reach the original's $62.6 million final total, but has a very respectable start all the same.

Verdict: About as good a movie as you could expect from one starring Melissa Joan Hart and Jesse Metcalfe, this sequel rams more religious doctrine down the audience's throat, in turn quite literally preaching to the converted yet without any intelligence or nuance that might make it interesting to other audiences.

The movie's depiction of atheists is sure to rub many the wrong way, and what could have been a compelling opportunity to explore the nature of religion is pretty much just inane propaganda. Avoid.
