Ranking April 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
15. Ratchet & Clank
RottenTomatoes Score: 20% (4.2/10)
Box Office: The modest $20 million video game adaptation pulled in just over half of its projected $10 million opening weekend, making it unlikely to turn a profit during its theatrical run. It might just about make some money once it's out on VOD and home video, but sadly, this is on the whole yet another botched video game movie.
Verdict: It seemed like Ratchet and Clank might break the video game movie curse, what with the creative team from the video game being on-board, along with the series' original voice actors, but nope.
This low-budget bore lacks the visual finesse and wit of the source material, instead broadening it for as big an audience as possible, while ironically pleasing just about no-one.
In a way it's worse than bad: at least a terrible film would be memorable and possibly unintentionally funny, whereas this doesn't even touch the sides.
Also, what the hell was Sylvester Stallone doing in this movie?
