Ranking April 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
13. Criminal
RottenTomatoes Score: 31% (4.4/10)
Box Office: Considering an utterly horrendous marketing campaign, it's a miracle that Criminal has made back even half of its $31.5 million price tag, even if it opened at just half of what projections hoped for, and resulted in the 8th worst wide release opening of Kevin Costner's career. A dud.
Verdict: One of the weirdest sci-fi thrillers in recent memory, Criminal presents Kevin Costner with a unique lead character who isn't easy to like...but problematically never makes us care about him over the course of the movie.
The film is peppered with a ton of unintentionally hilarious scenes (such as Costner's protagonist kicking up a fuss in a London chicken shop), while despite getting high billing, Ryan Reynolds has around 10 minutes of screen time in the entire movie. Oh, and don't get us started on Gal Gadot's woeful character and performance.
