Ranking April 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
12. Hardcore Henry
RottenTomatoes Score: 49% (5.2/10)
Box Office: Despite a small $10 million budget and unique premise, Hardcore Henry bombed, only barely making its budget back, though the potentially headache-inducing camerawork might make it a movie better to watch at home rather than in the cinema.
Verdict: Though many will inevitably be turned off by the movie's sometimes-disorientating first-person camerawork as well as its knowingly-inane plot, Hardcore Henry does offer up a compelling alternative to generic Hollywood action, imperfect though it is.
For fans of ultra-violent action, it's certainly worth checking out, and Sharlto Copley brings plenty of added value as the riotous sidekick. Undeniably, though, there are those who may find themselves wishing they were playing a game rather than basically watching someone else do it for them.
