Box Office: Proving the Fast and the Furious franchise's enduring popularity, number eight significantly outpaced projections and made an insane $539.9 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

Against a mammoth $250 million price tag, The Fate of the Furious has just crossed the billion-dollar mark, and is imminently set to dethrone Beauty and the Beast ($1.1 billion) as 2017's highest-grossing film. As for whether it will beat out Furious 7's $1.51 billion final total? Time will tell, but it's looking good.

Verdict: Yes, it's the worst of the series since it was re-imagined as a heist franchise with Fast Five, but The Fate of the Furious is still a howlingly entertaining romp thanks to insane stunts, brilliant banter and a top-drawer cast. What more do you really need to know? Keep 'em coming.
