Rotten Tomatoes Score: 52% (5.5/10) Box Office: The movie has an approximate production budget of just $11.5 million (with almost half that going to Zac Efron, insanely enough), and is forecasted to pull in around $10 million on its opening weekend, given how bleak the final August weekend almost always is for the box office. It'll do just fine in the long run owing to its low budget, but don't expect many to remember it by year's end. The Verdict: Quite possibly the most "5/10" film of the summer, We Are Your Friends promises a frantic, break-neck good time with beautiful people listening to dope tunes, but the end result is actually something very different: it's unexpectedly earnest and often a strangely sober film. It benefits hugely from the presence of Wes Bentley, who commands just about every scene he's in, and the lovely Emily Ratajkowski is always welcome, but the characters are wildly under-developed, and overall the film may make you wonder why it even exists in the first place.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
