17. Suicide Squad

1255311

RottenTomatoes Score: 26% (4.7/10)

Box Office: Made for a huge $175 million, Suicide Squad has just passed the $600 million mark worldwide, so it's safe to say that even with Hollywood accounting factored in, this one's a hit. It likely won't have the legs to keep going in the coming weeks, but that takes nothing away from this achievement.

Verdict: Neither as bad as you've heard nor as good as you want it to be, Suicide Squad certainly is one thing: a disappointment.

Clearly edited into oblivion by tetchy Warner Bros. execs, this intermittently entertaining comic book flick boasts a terrific, sometimes energising cast, but falters due to uneven pacing and an absolutely atrocious villain by way of Cara Delevingne's hip-shaking, hammy-voiced Enchantress.

If you thought SS would be the movie to course-correct the DCEU, keep your fingers crossed for Wonder Woman instead.
