16. The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature

Box Office: Even with its sensibly low $40 million price tag, the animated sequel opened at barely half of initial projections and down 68% on the first film's opening weekend.

Having only just scraped half its budget back so far, this one's a dud, and the unlikely franchise is effectively, mercifully dead.

Verdict: Well, it was better than the first one, and it's nowhere near as bad as The Emoji Movie, so that's something, right?

The worst thing to say about this needless animated sequel is that it's incredibly bland for the most part. Peter Stormare and Jackie Chan are at least amusing additions to the cast, and it's such an intensely forgettable film that it's hard to be angry at it, really.
