Ranking August 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

21. Action Point

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 17% (3.5/10)

Box Office: Perhaps proving that audiences are over Jackass - or at least no longer interested in a Jackass-branded movie without most of the key cast members - Action Point has only barely cracked $5 million worldwide, far away from its $19 million budget. A stonking flop.

Verdict: Despite a decent premise, Action Point is a weirdly boring mess of a film that neither boasts the stunts nor the personality that might make it an amiably goofy addition to the Jackass canon.

It doesn't help that Johnny Knoxville and Chris Pontinus are the show's only alums to show up, while an ageing Knoxville has somewhat understandably toned down his stuntman shtick considerably. Watching him get hit in the face gets old after about 20 minutes, and the rest of the film is a total slog to the finish line.
