Box Office: The Kyle Mooney-starring indie comedy has made just over $650,000 worldwide on limited release, though will clearly make most of its money on VOD. Given the film's evidently tiny budget, it'll be just fine.

Verdict: Though this could so easily have been another self-consciously quirky indie, Brigsby Bear is in fact a disarmingly sweet film about a young man coming to terms with abuse and the many wonders that the big, wide world holds.

Kyle Mooney, who also co-wrote the project, is a delightful, sympathetic lead, there's a small but savage supporting role for Mark Hamill as his captor, and the film is overall an endearing love letter to the nature of creation itself. If you're craving something totally unique and far away from the usual studio releases, don't miss it.
