Ranking Every Chucky Movie From Worst To Best

4. Cult Of Chucky

Universal

This is definitely one of the most interesting chapters in the Chucky franchise. Not only is it trying to move the series forward, but it's cleverly taking a look back at the history of Chucky, delivering some key highlights. Firstly, we have the return of Alex Vincent as Andy, who has been preparing for his reunion with Chucky, even going as far as torturing his old foe with glee in his eyes. Then there's the neat reappearance of Chucky's estranged wife, Tiffany, who happily aids in her husband's sadistic games, carefully delivering him to where he needs to go.

Continuing on from the events of the last film, Cult of Chucky goes about torturing Nica Pierce in a mental hospital, crafting a unique psychological thriller that slowly drives the poor woman around the bend. Don Mancini really takes the traditional trope of nobody believing the protagonist about Chucky's existence to a whole new twisted level, due to the simple fact that no sane person is going to pay attention to a mental patient, making each victim an easy target for Chucky.

Things get even more complicated, and deranged, through Chucky's new ability to transfer his soul into multiple bodies at once, allowing the sadistic killer to toy with his victims further, as well as being even more unstoppable in his relentless pursuit for carnage. The past and present cleverly collides, and builds up to a devilish revolution that will hopefully take the franchise in a fresh creative direction, initially granting the series, and its titular character, a new lease on life.
