18. Constantine
Like Suicide Squad, Constantine is a great idea lost in mostly terrible execution. Keanu Reeves is not and will never be the right man to play Constantine - a blonde haired, chain-smoking Scouse - but he's quite interesting as this new morose version of the character surrounded by miseries and demons.
Constantine could have been brilliant - particularly if it had dialled up the horror element a little more - but part of its issue is that it came out 6 years after End Of Days and Stigmata killed all goodwill for the Heaven/Hell subgenre and tried to capture the same audience. It never actually feels like a comic book movie, and it's so far removed from the source that you wonder why they bothered dragging Constantine's good name through the muck.
It's not like any comic book fans would have enjoyed their vision.
