Ranking Every DC Movie Villain From Worst To Best

25. Talia Al Ghul - Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises)

DC Villains Updated
Warner Bros.

Perhaps it's because Talia's big reveal comes so late in The Dark Knight Rises, but it doesn't feel like she's really given the opportunity to shine. In the comics, Talia was a hell of a threat in her own respect, but there's not much of the expert hand-to-hand combatant she's typically presented as.

Obviously, all of that blunting is done for the key deception (even though the whole thing was leaked well ahead of the film's release), but it's just a shame she wasn't given more time to blossom beyond her one scene goading Batman after she stabs him. From there she's pretty much on a quick march to death.

Talia feels a lot more like a Bond villainess than a Batman one, including the switch from sympathetic seductress to full on malevolent. The problem though is that her transformation makes two other key characters look terrible: her deception makes Batman (the World's Greatest Detective supposedly) look like an idiot, and it relegates Bane into a soft touch henchman.
