Ranking Every DC Movie Villain From Worst To Best

33. Two Face - Tommy Lee Jones (Batman Forever)

DC Villains Updated
Warner Bros.

On paper, the casting of Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face for Batman Forever was an exciting development: he was fresh from an Oscar win and had genuine acting chops like fellow Bat villain Jack Nicholson.

Sadly, the parallel with Nicholson didn't end there: instead of offering a performance of Two Face that focused on his split personality and internal conflict, he instead mimicked Nicholson with a proto-Joker in another costume. There's no balance to his villainy, and no intrigue, turning what should have been a great opportunity into a massively missed one.

As a final fatal assessment, Jim Carrey ends up being more restrained and more in tune with the idea of split personality conflict (as Nigma adopts Bruce Wayne's dual identity) as Jones mugs towards his paycheque. And as for his "sidekicks", Sugar and Spice... all that did was suggest Joel Schumacher thought Two Face was some sort of pimp.
