Ranking Every DC Original Animated Movie Worst To Best

14. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010)

Justice League Doom
Warner Bros.

Although the opening frames attempt to sell this effort as a sequel to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, the title is completely misleading, as the main focus is actually as an introduction movie focusing on Supergirl, with Wonder Woman playing as big of a supporting role as Kal-El or the Bat (sexism anyone?).

Much of your enjoyment though, really relies on your tolerance for Kar-El's blonde cousin as a character, considering her resurgence in popularity from her recent CW TV show, that might be way more of you then back when DC sneakily mis-marketed this effort.

Luckily Supergirl is feisty, naive and kind of adorable. The DC super-trinity give solid support as the adults that fight over the direction the powerful youth should steer in. After a slow and surprisingly modest middle act, things go crazy and interstellar as Darkseid steps in to possess her for himself. All this leads to an absolutely killer Smallville-set finale between Superman and his little cousin vs the galactic overlord.
