Ranking Every DC Original Animated Movie Worst To Best

4. Batman: Under The Red Hood (2010)

Justice League Doom
Warner Bros.

The Red Hood, a mysterious gun-toting figure, takes Gotham city's underworld over by brute force. Batman partnered with Nightwing set out to take him down, but soon things connect back to the memory of Bat's greatest failure - the death of Jason Todd (the 2nd Robin) at the hands of the Joker.

An incredibly gripping tale even from the beginning moments, the Red Hood makes for a dynamic villain and equal against Batman, buts it's the banter between our hero and his (usually overlooked) side-kick Nightwing (voiced by Neil Patrick Harris) that really shines through here.

Wonderfully animated with some of the most inventive and organic fight scenes the studio has pulled off, add to that a fantastic use of the Joker in a chilling supporting role and a plot whose mystery never lets up until its final moments.

'Red Hood' is a tense, white-knuckle Batman tale, this was the movie that really put DC Animated on the map as a dynamic studio pumping out cutting-edge product and proved once and for all, it wasn't just Bruce Timm's cute experiment.
