8. Tangled (2010)
Tangled has a little something for everyone.
If you like Disney princesses, then you'll love Rapunzel. She's real, she's smart, and she's fearless (albeit naïve). If you like Disney villains, then you'll love Gothel. She has an incredible amount of depth and is basically just a more fleshed-out version of Lady Tremaine from Cinderella.
If you like romantic interests, then you'll love Flynn Rider. Flynn experiences an immense amount of growth throughout the story and the progression of his relationship with Rapunzel is one of the most well-executed in Disney history (oh, and their duet is the best since "A Whole New World" from Aladdin). If you like animal sidekicks, you'll love Pascal and Maximus. Pascal is adorable, and Maximus is one of Disney's most emotionally-expressive characters.
Overall, this movie is just so well put-together.
