17. Laser Eye Surgery Gone Wrong (Olivia Castle - Final Destination 5)

This was a classic case of a Final Destination misdirect death. Though it seems a sure thing that Olivia (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will get a hole burned through her head during a bout of laser eye surgery gone wrong, this only results in her receiving an even more brutal end.

Despite managing to remove herself from the surgery clamp after her right eye is severely burned, her death is actually caused by tripping over and falling out the window, smashing hard onto a car down below.

And to add insult to injury, one of her eyes even rolls out of her head, only to get run over by a passing car.

16. Bus Outta Nowhere (Terry Chaney - Final Destination)

Back when the series could still get away with these gotcha deaths, Terry's demise was a genuine shocker. After arguing with her fellow survivors, a careless Terry steps into the road, shouts, "You can just drop f**king dead!", and gets creamed by an oncoming bus.

It's a perfect mix of hilarious and revolting, and despite being mostly achieved through CGI, doesn't look quite as cartoonish as other similar deaths later in the series.
