Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best

75. Gabor (The World Is Not Enough, 1999)

Tee Hee James Bond
United International Pictures

The first name in a pair of nobodies who work for... Elektra! No, Renard! No, both! Oh, who cares?

If you're struggling to remember Gabor, you can hardly be blamed. Supposedly Elektra King's bodyguard, Gabor wastes no time in proving himself a waste of space. His most memorable (!) moment in 1999's The World Is Not Enough comes when he's knocked out cold by Bond offscreen; a fitting testament to his abilities (or lack thereof).

Gabor spends the rest of the film tagging along wherever Elektra goes, looming and pointing a gun whenever required. He's nothing but faceless wallpaper and bullet-fodder to the likes of 007, who shoots Gabor dead in the Istanbul climax without a shred of effort.

His yawn-worthy fate is all too familiar for those in that thankless tier of lower-level henchmen; quickly forgotten when offscreen, all but invisible when onscreen. You know the kind. Mere filler whenever the script calls for some random muscle to give the villain additional presence, sadly lacking any distinguishable features or element of threat.

"Oh, he'll do," say the writers. "Oh, no he won't," say lists like these.

Chest thumping James Bond and Haruki Murakami fanatic living in China. Once had a fever dream about riding a rowboat with Davos Seaworth. He hasn't updated this section since Game of Thrones was cool, and boy does it show.
