Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best
10. General Ourumov (GoldenEye, 1995)
As the Cossack hat-wearing Moscow military man, this classic Russian baddie brings the Bond franchise back to its vintage Cold War roots.
First seen in GoldenEye's famous Arkhangelsk opening, Ourumov commands a force tasked with defending a Soviet Chemical Weapons facility. This cushy position comes to an end when James Bond arrives and blows the entire site to smithereens.
That's not the last we'd see of Ourumov, however - the secret Janus Syndicate member uses his next role as head of the Russian Space Division to steal the dangerous GoldenEye weapon.
Turns out he's in cahoots with the villainous former double-oh agent Alec Trevelyan, intent on using the GoldenEye to cripple London and make off with the Bank of England's immeasurable wealth. For Alec, it's about avenging the perceived betrayal of his parents by the British Government - but for Ourumov, it's about the money.
Ourumov gets a lot to do throughout GoldenEye's first half, killing Defence Minister Mishkin to cover his nefarious tracks before being chased by Bond in a tank through the streets of St. Petersburg. Luckily he has a full hip-flask to get him through it.
It's a shame that Bond ultimately disposes of him rather abruptly, suddenly shooting him dead in a train-set confrontation before quickly moving onto the bigger fish that Trevelyan represents.
