Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best
11. Hinx (Spectre, 2015)
Bond producers heard the calls for better supporting villains in the Craig era and responded with Hinx - Dave Bautista's not-so-gentle giant. In a return to the classic towering henchman figure, Hinx is a mountain of a man who relentlessly pursues 007 throughout Spectre.
Entering SPECTRE's secret boardroom as a prospective assassin, Hinx demonstrates his qualifications for a permanent role by brutally dismantling a competing hitman in front of the organisation's shadowy leaders.
Hinx takes the standard template of an imposing thug and adds new layers of might and ability. Not content with merely being able to snap a man like a twig, Hinx is also an expert motorist - as evidenced by his blistering car chase with Bond through the streets of Rome.
Thanks to Hinx, criticisms of "bland henchmen" can't be thrown at Spectre - he's a dominant force of nature whose hand-to-hand fight with Bond is one of the highlights of the film. Given the sounds made by his pummelling blows, it's genuinely shocking that 007 is able to stay conscious.
It's also a testament to Hinx's ferocity that he seems to shrug off a gunshot wound - only taken down after being yanked from a train by the neck with a heavy chain.
