11. Superman & Lois Modern Times Suit
We now have the latest live-action Superman with Tyler Hoechlin. A fan-favorite beloved by many, wearing a not-so-very-good costume. The suit itself is based on the New 52 and Rebirth suits in the latest Superman comics - Which is not inherently the problem. The problem is, that it looks incredibly artificial.
The muscle pattern on the suit is airbrushed on. It might look great if we are only seeing Clark from a distance, but for the majority of the time when the camera is close to him, he looks like dirty paint job graffiti. The designers even made artificial shadows for his emblem to make it looks embossed, but again it obviously is not embossed.
The other factor is that they made his shoulders look huge. Not only does it put attention that he is wearing a muscle suit, but it also makes his head small in comparison to his body.
This suit may look great from a distance - when Kal-El is a semi-silhouette in a hero pose and the cape is CGI. When it counts, it looks like just an adult-size Superman costume that can be bought in a toy store.
