10. Justice League Snyder Cut Black Suit
The only suits that are qualified for this list are the main Superman suits. Others made only for special environments or costumes from alternate timelines are not counted. The black suit in the Justice League Snyder Cut should have been one of those alternate suits.
The only reason Clark is wearing black in this scenario is because his Comic counterpart wore a black suit in The Death of Superman story. The difference is that Superman had a story purpose for wearing black - namely to signal to the readers that Clark was not yet fully Superman. His powers were not back yet, and the moment he was wearing the original red and blue signals he was finally in his prime.
Here in the movie, there is no story purpose for it aside from the fanservice of seeing him in black. In the comics, the black suit had a different design from his original colored version. The movie version is just his regular costume painted all black in post-production. How boring is that? It's the Black Spider-Man from Spider-Man 3 all over again.
In the movie universe, Kal-El is canonically supposed to be a beacon of hope. The S on his chest is supposed to mean "Hope." So why is the beacon of hope wearing all-black? Doesn't wearing something that dark just kind of scream the opposite message?
