Ranking Every Nicolas Cage Movie Worst To Best
65. Looking Glass (2018)
Though you can feel veteran director Tim Hunter trying to transform this sleazy thriller into a red-blooded neo-noir, Looking Glass is also a film thoroughly unable to embrace its own absurdity to its detriment.
Cage and Robin Tunney make for well-matched leads, and it occasionally finds the right level of atmosphere, but mostly just trundles along to its inevitable conclusion.
64. Primal (2019)
Sadly Primal is a lot less daft than its premise implies, casting Cage as a big game hunter fighting giant CGI animals.
Though Cage is fine enough, the script is bizarrely low on knowingly outrageous dialogue, the aforementioned CGI animals are not good, and the visuals are more generally ruined by a garish yellow filter applied throughout.
This could've been so much fun with the right tone, but it just doesn't get there.
