Ranking Every Nicolas Cage Movie Worst To Best
41. Snake Eyes (1998)
Though far from one of Brian De Palma's better movies, Snake Eyes is at least an interesting mish-mash of tones and ideas, with the legendary filmmaker bringing his typically creative style to the fore.
Sadly the technical nous is undermined somewhat by the slack, convoluted storytelling and unsatisfying payoff, but Cage and the ensemble cast are certainly in fine fighting form regardless.
40. Drive Angry (2011)
Undeniably one of the nuttiest films of Cage's entire career - and that's really saying something - Drive Angry sees the actor playing a felon who breaks out of hell and teams up with a sexy waitress (Amber Heard) to save his kidnapped granddaughter from a cult. Yup.
Though the visual effects are rough to say the least, this is propped up entirely by its laugh-a-minute approach to action thrills, as well as stonking-good performances from both Cage and a scenery-chewing William Fichtner.
