Ranking Every Quentin Tarantino Movie Soundtrack Worst To Best

3. Jackie Brown

Now, we’re narrowed down to the top 3 - not just the best three Tarantino soundtracks, but the best three Tarantino movies overall.

And, at number three, we have his 1997 drama, Jackie Brown, often cited as Tarantino’s most mature and “grown-up” piece of work.

It’s so great to see a Tarantino movie with a theme song, and with Jackie Brown, it comes in the form of the Bobby Womack classic, “Across the 110th Street”. From its use in The Graduate-inspired opening sequence to Pam Grier singing along to it at the end, the song is by far one of the best songs in Tarantino’s back catalogue.

Also, there are some other great songs, including “Who is He (And What Is He To You?)”, “Street Life” and “Midnight Confessions”. And, the soundtrack also gives us some great dialogue extracts, especially including “Beaumont’s Lament”.

With a cracking theme song and some other great songs, Jackie Brown’s soundtrack is a pitch-perfect Tarantino soundtrack through and through.
