Ranking Every Stan Lee Marvel Movie Cameo From Worst To Best

15. General - Captain America: The First Avenger

Some people were a little peeved when it was revealed Lee was going to cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger; what relation does he have to a character who he had no part in creating? Well, actually, he has quite a bit to do with Cap; his first published work was text filler on Captain America and he was behind the character's revival in the sixties, bringing him to the then-modern day for The Avengers. As justified as it may be, the cameo in the film is a little out of place - his general character mistakes a regular guy for Steve Rogers - even after the throw-back montage of Cap's exploits.

14. Xandarian Ladies' Man - Guardians Of The Galaxy

It was originally announced that there wouldn't be a cameo in Guardians Of The Galaxy for the exact reason people got so up in arms about the Captain America one; not only did he not create the series, Guardians were so obscure even Stan Lee didn't know who they were. Thankfully he did appear in the film, popping up as part of the introduction of Rocket and Groot (who Lee actually co-created long before the tree became a Guardian) as a character whose name pretty much sums him up; Xandarian Ladies' Man. It's slight, but it does give Bradley Cooper something to work off for Rocket's opening 'monologue'.
