11. Pageant Judge - Iron Man 3

Recent appearances by Stan Lee in the MCU have become a little more self-depricating; mental patient in Thor 2, ladies' man in Guardians and, in a short-but-memorable appearance, an over-enthusiastic beauty pageant judge in Iron Man 3. It's interesting that in a film that borders on all-out comedy that Shane Black went for something more fleeting, particularly after the cameos in previous films had become increasingly overt. Clearly audiences have got to the point where things don't need to be as sign-posted.

10. Stan The Man - Thor

Here's a very unexpected one. Locals have converged on Thor's hammer, attempting to shift Mjolnir with pick-up trucks in a modern day version of the sword in the stone. After having his the back of his truck pulled clean off, one unlucky driver is unexpectedly revealed to be none other than an excited Stan Lee; "did it work?" Short, but very sweet. In the films preceding Thor the cameos had become increasingly obvious, so something surprising was outoand-out hilarious. But really, what makes this one so great is the character's official name; Stan the Man is genius.
