Ranking Every Stan Lee Marvel Movie Cameo From Worst To Best

9. Smithsonian Guard - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Since The Avengers the MCU has seemed to skew closer to comedy than it had previously. That is, aside from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with its conspiracy plot and genuinely tense action making it a much serious affair. But that didn't stop them sneaking in a massive joke just before the climax. Stealing his old costume from the Smithsonian display (wait, they put his actual suit there), Steve Rogers leaves one unlucky guard in a precarious employment position. It's a rather extended cameo for Lee, but works perfectly at that point in the film.

8. Old Man At Crossing - Daredevil

Totally dismissed by modern audiences and a central element of the ire direct at Ben Affleck's Batman casting, Daredevil is the bastard child of Marvel movies. With the character set to return in a Netflix series maybe people will reevaluate the film; it's not great, but has its moments, including a cracking Stan Lee cameo. Distracted by a newspaper, he's stopped from walking into a busy road by a sensory-enhanced Matt Murdock. Only the third cameo, this marks the point when the cameos became much more noticeable.
