Ranking: Every Tom Cruise Action Movie From Worst To Best
6. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation
Yes, it's incredibly old-hat seeing Ethan Hunt once again going rogue to take down an international terrorist, but it was nevertheless hard not to be hooked from the movie's opening scene, where Cruise clings from the side of an ascending plane...and he did it for real (with harnesses, of course).
Cruise is as reliably great as you'd expect here, but the show is categorically stolen by the brilliant Rebecca Ferguson as ambiguous double agent Ilsa Faust, who will reportedly be returning for the upcoming sixth movie (killing the series' traditional revolving door policy on female characters).
Best Moment: The Vienna Opera House sequence, where Hunt chases down several assassins, is masterfully suspenseful and has earned justifiable comparisons to Hitchcock. Unquestionably one of the very best scenes in the franchise.
