Ranking: Every Tom Cruise Action Movie From Worst To Best

Pairing a deliciously provocative premise with easily Spielberg's strongest direction of the last fifteen years and a firecracker Cruise performance, Minority Report is an inimitable sci-fi classic.

What would happen if the authorities could predict crime? It's an at once mind-boggling, fascinating and terrifying question, one which Spielberg melds with the usual stylistic exuberance for an outing that manages to be smart and thrilling at the same time.

Cruise is magnetic in one of his best roles, but Samantha Morton frequently steals the show away from him. Mostly free of the cloying sentiment that drags some of the legendary filmmaker's works down, Minority Report is a credit to blockbuster filmmaking.

Best Moment: Tempting as it is to pick something more thoughtful, the jetpack escape is simply too well-directed not to win out here.
