6. Zoolander 2
Its hard to get really, really, ridiculously excited about any sequel that comes out well outside of its relevancy window, but at least Zoolander has been able to transcend into cult status in that time. Any criticisms of the original - now beloved - comedy are often met with pantomime hisses (despite the revelation that its not really all that great), so the uptake of tickets should be high. It just remains to be seen whether the laughs can endure a second outing when both Anchorman 2 and Dumb & Dumber Too failed pretty mirthlessly. There is promise, and the idea of Zoolander and Hansel trying to understand the modern fashion game is a nifty hook, but the cameos look off-putting and the comedy looks far less subtle. Which is fairly true of any comedy starring Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell these days. Release: Feb 12
