Ranking February 2016's Movies From Worst To Best

4. Glassland

RottenTomatoes Score: 80% (6.9/10) Box Office: Glassland has made just $1,214 to date. Whoops. Verdict: Glassland isn't a movie for the weak of stomach: it's a grim but terrifically acted drama about a young man (Jack Reynor) attempting to save his mother (Toni Colette) from alcohol-fuelled oblivion. Though it's far too honest and authentic to be mere "misery porn", it's not something to sit through if you're already in a glum mood, and its tone will largely explain why it's done virtually no business. Yes, one subplot feels a little strained and the ending will guarantee dissatisfaction for some, but Reynor, Colette and Will Poulter put on an absolute acting clinic here. If you're a fan of the trio, it can't be missed.
